Mary Ellen Scanlin is executive vice president, corporate development of R.J. O'Brien & Associates. She assumed that post in September 2011.[1]

Scanlin, who served her entire professional career of more than 30 years at R.J. O'Brien, previously served as executive vice president and CEO of the firm's introducing broker division, a position she held for 12 years. In her executive vice president, corporate development role, she reports to R.J. O'Brien's chairman and CEO Gerald Corcoran and will help develop the firm's growth strategy.[2]

Scanlin joined the firm in 1981 as a runner on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor. She moved up through the company holding positions such as: managing the trading desk operations, running the firm's back office operations and guiding sales in every key division.
