Michael Shore is a Chicago-based public relations professional who is executive director of public relations for the OCC.

Before the OCC, Shore was head of global communications for Motorola Solutions. He also served as head of global communications for William Blair. And he was head of media, public relations and communications for Magnetar Capital.

Background[edit]

Previously, he served as executive director of corporate communications at CME Group. He assumed the title in April 2012 after serving as associate communications director since 2008.[1] Shore joined the CME in 2008. Before joining CME, he was director of media relations at the Investment Company Institute. He also served as assistant public affairs director for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board from 2003 to 2006.

Shore served in Washington, DC as deputy press secretary for the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs from 1998 to 2001.

Shore holds a bachelor degree in communications from the University of Kansas.
