The National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) is a stock exchange based in Newcastle, Australia. It was established in 1937 as the Newcastle Stock Exchange and after a dormant period, it was re-established in February 2000 and grew to become Australia’s second largest listing stock exchange.[1] It is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
About 110 companies were listed on NSX as of June 30, 2014.[2]
NSX's largest shareholder, Financial and Energy Exchange (FEX), holds a 39 per cent stake in the exchange through two entities.
