Robert Wasserman is a lawyer and longtime CFTC staffer who currently serves as the chief counsel of Division of Clearing and Risk at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Wasserman has been with the CFTC since 1997.[1][2][3][4][5]

Background[edit]

Prior to joining the CFTC, Wasserman was an associate at the law firm of Shea & Gardner from 1990 to 1997.

He also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals 3rd Circuit from September 1989 to September 1990.

Additionally, Wasserman was a systems analyst with Unisys from 1982 to 1988.

Education[edit]

Wasserman holds a bachelor of science in economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania.
