Roland Bellegarde
Roland Bellegarde is a member of the management committee of NYSE Euronext and Group Executive Vice President and Head of European Execution, positions that he has held since May 2009. He is responsible for listing activities as well as trading, which includes managing market operations for the four Euronext markets and handling product development and user relations on the buy side and sell side. Background[edit]Previously Roland served as head of cash trading beginning in 2000, integrating the NSC trading platform across the Euronext markets. From 1998 to 2000, Roland served as head of cash and derivatives markets for ParisBourse. From 1995 to 1998, he served as head of cash markets for the Paris exchange. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1995, he designed the functionalities of the NSC trading system, which was used across all Euronext markets before the introduction of the Universal Trading Platform.[1] News[edit]In October of 2013, Bellegarde told an audience at a European summit meeting in London that competing regulatory regimes put in place to overhaul markets after the financial crisis, like the U.S.'s Dodd-Frank and Europe's EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation), have made acquisitions between exchanges in different continents less attractive.[2] Education[edit]Ecole Francaise du Caire à Mounira References[edit]
