Samuel A. DiPiazza, Jr. is the global ceo of PricewaterhouseCoopers, a position he has held since 2002.[1] DiPiazza also serves as a member of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation. [2]

Background[edit]

Previously, DiPiazza led the PricewaterhouseCoopers US firm as chairman and senior partner, and was a member of the Global Leadership Team. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers' U.S. firm in 1973 and became a partner in 1979. He was elected to the U.S. Firm Council in 1986, and headed the Birmingham, Alabama and Chicago offices before being named midwest regional managing partner in 1992. He then became the regional managing partner of the New York Metro Region. In 1998, he was named the Americas Leader for Tax and Legal Services, and in 2000 he was elected chairman and senior partner of the U.S. firm.

Education[edit]

Di Piazza received a dual degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Alabama, and an MS in Tax Accounting from the University of Houston.
