Scott Wilson
Scott Wilson is managing director and head of CIBC World Markets’ European region, which includes responsibilities as chief executive of the London branch and all CIBC World Markets operations across Europe.[1] He assumed this role in June of 2008.[2] Background[edit]Scott began his career in law in 1991, working for law firms in Washington, D.C. He later joined Bear Stearns in New York and Hong Kong as a legal and regulatory advisor to the emerging markets division. In 1998, he joined CIBC as vice-president & counsel, head of legal and compliance for the Asia-Pacific region. The European region was added to these responsibilities in 2007. Education[edit]Wilson earned a BA from the University of California in 1986, and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 1991. He studied China’s economic reform, international trade and contract laws at Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Centre for China-U.S. studies as a visiting scholar in 1991. In 2004 he received an MBA issued jointly by Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. References[edit]
