Seth Waugh spent several years working in the field of banking. In 2012 he announced that he would step down as chief executive officer for the Americas at Deutsche Bank AG. He was expected to remain as CEO through the selection and transition process at the company.[1]

His exit from Deutsche Bank coincided with the accession of Anshu Jain, head of the corporate and investment bank at the company, and Juergen Fitschen, who ran the bank's operations in Germany, to co-CEO roles at Deutsche Bank.


Background[edit]

Waugh was CEO for the Americas, Deutsche Bank AG since April 2000, after joining from Merrill Lynch & Co.. At Deutsche Bank, he helped oversee expansion in trading and advisory in the U.S.
