The Sibiu Monetary Financial and Commodities Exchange (SIBEX) is a derivatives exchange that is located in Romania. It is a publicly traded company traded on the Bucharest and Budapest Stock Exchange.[1]

History[edit]

On Jan. 6, 2010, it was announced that SIBEX had chosen Trayport's Exchange Trading System for its single stock, interest rate, currency and gold futures and options markets. It was believed the exchange matching engine would support the further development of SIBEX's futures and options markets in Romania. Also, since entering into the agreement, SIBEX introduced its own Web-based front-end trading platform and clearing system connecting to the Trayport Exchange Trading System using Trayport's Risk API.[2]
