Steven M. Quirk
Steve Quirk is executive vice president, Trader Group, at TD Ameritrade. He oversees the strategy and deployment of initiatives for trading at TD Ameritrade.[1] He served as an executive vice president of Trading & Education at the company from November 2015 until taking over his current role on January 10, 2017. He is also a member of the company's senior operating committee, which shapes the strategic focus of the organization.[2] Under his leadership, TD Ameritrade debuted the Investor Movement Index (IMX), a proprietary index that aggregates investor positions and activity. Background[edit]Before taking over his current role, Quirk was responsible for the development of new trading tools and technology enhancements for the thinkorswim trading platform. He began his trading career in 1987 as a market maker on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board Options Exchange. While at the CBOE, he served on the exchange's Index Market Performance Committee and the Arbitration Committee. He was a partner with SCMS for 7 years, trading options on index products.
