Before NYSE's acquisition by ICE, he was chief executive officer of NYSE Euronext’s two U.S. options exchanges, NYSE Amex Options and NYSE Arca Options.[1] He became the sole head of the two options exchanges in September of 2012 as part of a restructuring in which Paul Finnegan, formerly co-CEO of NYSE Arca Options departed, and Amy Farnstrom, also formerly co-CEO at NYSE Arca Options, left that position while staying on with the company.[2]

Before joining Matlock, Crutchfield was managing director of the research and development group at Botta Capital Management. There, he oversaw the development of trading models and technology for both internal and external use, including an index volatility arbitrage model and an options portfolio management system still in use today. Before that, he launched and directed Botta’s off-floor options trading desk and its equity risk arbitrage business.

Education[edit]
