Stuart Sloan
Stuart Sloan is a London-based exchange traded derivatives executive. He is the former chief operating officer and head of strategy at the London Metal Exchange. He stepped down from the position in December of 2016.[1] He joined the LME in that role in January of 2014 from NYSE Euronext, where he was part of the management team of the NYSE Liffe derivatives business for nearly 20 years.[2] He reports to LME's Chief Executive, Garry Jones. Background[edit]As head of strategic development at NYSE Euronext, Sloan led the exchange's strategy function and was chief of staff for NYSE Liffe. He worked on the establishment of an independent clearing function for NYSE Liffe, and on the creation of a benchmark administration business. He joined Liffe in 1994.
