Susan Hinko
Susan Hinko is Global Head of Industry Relations for TriOptima, and she is responsible for media relations and industry relations. In 2004, She opened TriOptima’s NY office. Recently, Hinko has been working on the launch of single-name credit default swaps on the firm’s TriReduce service, which terminates a bank’s superfluous swaps in a given portfolio. The service eliminated 10,000 swaps worth $180 billion in the latest cycle. By terminating the unnecessary positions held by participating banks on a netted basis, TriReduce reduces dealers’ net exposures and the credit and operational risk involved.[1] Background[edit]Prior to joining TriOptima in 2004, Susan Hinko was President of the Institute for Financial Markets and Director of Industry Relations at ICor.[2] she has 30 years experience in the financial services industry in treasury operations, investment banking and OTC derivatives including six years as ISDA’s Director of Policy for the Americas where she advised a range of committees including collateral, accounting, market practice, operations, equity derivatives, and Latin America. Education[edit]Susan Hinko holds a BA in government from Skidmore College, an MA in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Columbia University School of Business Administration.[3] References[edit]
