Susan M. Schultz is executive director and counsel to the executive chairman and president at CME Group.[1] Reporting to Terry Duffy, Schultz will be responsible for advising on legal matters related to the company's government relations, public relations and corporate marketing activities. She also serves as a liaison to the legal department on matters related to the execution of Duffy's duties and responsibilities.

Prior to joining CME Group, Schultz gained more than 30 years of legal and regulatory experience in the derivatives industry. She most previously served as managing director, group deputy general counsel and chief operating officer of the LCA Division of Newedge Group from 2008-2012.[2] She also held general counsel and associate general counsel roles with Calyon Financial from 1997 to 2008.[3]
After graduating from law school, Schultz immediately joined CME where she held various positions during her 10-year tenure, including: director, membership department; assistant secretary; in-house counsel; and staff attorney.

Schultz graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University in 1977 with a BA in political science. In 1980, she received her JD, with distinction, from The John Marshall Law School.
