Thesys CAT LLC is a subsidiary of Thesys Technologies. Thesys CAT is the plan processor for the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT), the SEC's new trade data repository for equities and options.[1]
History[edit]
Thesys Technologies was selected to develop and operate the CAT in January of 2017. Thesys CAT, a separate legal entity, was formed in May 2017 to be the CAT plan processor. [2]
Thesys CAT then had to rapidly build out its staff. It added Edward Watson as COO and Shane Swanson as CCO in May.[3] In December, Andre Frank became president and Thaddeus Covert became CTO. Both previously worked for Thesys Technologies.[4] In February 2018, Thesys CAT appointed Vas Rajan as chief information security provider.[5]
