Tony Tse is executive managing director for Asia at TMX Group, serving the exchange and its business lines in the region. He took the post in June 2019.[1]

Background[edit]

Tse has had a varied financial services background with senior roles at several banks. Prior to joining TMX Group, he served as director, transaction banking at Royal Bank of Canada from May 2015 to August 2018.

Before that, he worked as managing director, Asian bank sales in Hong Kong for Jefferies from 2013 to 2014 and was an executive director at Goldman Sachs from 2011 to 2013, building out the firm's Australian fixed income distribution and client coverage in Asia, Australia and South America. Before joining Goldman, he was at RBC Capital Markets for 14 years, serving as deputy CEO of RBC Capital's Hong Kong office and head of sales, Asia, where he was also a board member of RBC Capital Markets.

Education[edit]

He earned his bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from McGill University and a certificate in the fintech programme from the University of Oxford.
