Before joining [[Borsa Istanbul]], Turhan was deputy governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.  He was in charge of monetary policy international relations, communication, investor relations, accounting, information technology, human resources, procurement, logistics, fixed investments and real estate management.
