Barry Tague

Barry Tague was a securities broker, trader and exchange leader. He twice served as chairman of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX). In 1979, he co-designed the world's first exchange-listed foreign currency option. Soon after that, the PHLX became the first exchange to trade options on foreign currencies.

Barry Elwert Tague was born on June 17, 1938. He was a securities trader and actively served his community. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965.

He was a partner with E.J. Tague & Company, Philadelphia, 1959-1968 and then had his own firm, Barry E. Tague & Company, Philadelphia. He was an executive vice president and vice chairman of Raymond James from 1968 to 1976.
