Bob Bogda is a veteran financial journalist who is currently editorial director at StreetAuthority, a online investment website published under the umbrella of Capitol Information Group. Background[edit]Bob Bogda joined StreetAuthority in 2009 as vice president, editorial, and was promoted to editorial director in 2019. Previously, he was editorial content director at Magna Publications and was a chief correspondent for Bridge News.[1] From 1985 through 1998, Bogda was the Chicago bureau chief for Knight-Ridder Financial News, leading a team of reporters who covered the Midwest derivatives markets as well as economic issues, central bank policy, market structure and the growth of the futures and options exchanges. In the early 1980s, he was the Chicago bureau chief for Commodity News Service (CNS), the wire service that was later taken over by Knight Ridder and became known as Knight-Ridder Financial News. He was a recipient of a Knight-Ridder “Editorial Excellence” award, which cited him for “hiring, training and inspiring a team that (it) believes is the best in the business.” Both Suzanne Cosgrove and John Lothian of John Lothian News worked for Bogda at CNS and Knight Ridder Financial News. Education[edit]Bogda received his bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. References[edit] |
