Charles Gerstenberg was a Chicago-based grain commission merchant and a founding member of the Chicago Board of Trade.[1][2]

Gerstenberg founded Gerstenberg & Company, a commercial grain company, in 1856 in Chicago. His sons Adolph and Erich later worked for the company.[3] Gerstenberg & Company was sometimes referred to as "The House of Gerstenberg."
