Frederick J. Grede
Fred Grede is a derivatives industry exchange and clearinghouse professional. Most recently, he was the chief executive officer of Bcause LLC. He joined the company in that role in May 2017 and left in May 2019 after Bcause declared bankruptcy.[1][2][3][4][5][6] He was also previously chairman of Vega Financial Engineering Ltd, a consultancy focusing on the international derivatives markets. Background[edit]Grede was previously chief executive of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange and chief operating officer of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Before that he was an executive vice president of the Chicago Board of Trade from 1974 - 2000. Grede was also a trustee in Sentinel Management Group Inc.'s bankruptcy, starting in 2007.[7] The task of unwinding Sentinel’s affairs and recovering money for an estimated 200 customers fell to Grede in May of 2009.[8] Education[edit]Grede received a masters of business administration from the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business and a J.D. from DePaul University School of Law.
