Gerard J. Pannekoek is the CEO of Intellectual Property Exchange International, an exchange under development that aims to be the world’s first financial exchange with an intellectual property focus providing asset managers with new risk management tools and trading opportunities around intellectual property.[1] Additionally, Pannekoek is Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
Previously, Pannekoek was president and chief operating officer of the Chicago Climate Exchange from 2002 to 2005.[2]

While president and COO of CCX during the start-up phase, the exchange became the world’s first multi-national and multi-sector market for reducing and trading greenhouse gas emissions.
Education[edit]
Pannekoek, a native of the Netherlands, holds a bachelors of arts degree from the H.E.A.O. College in Zwolle. Also, he holds master of management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.
