John Black is a product development specialist at Nasdaq. He joined Nasdaq’s Options Business Development team in that role in 2016, focusing on enhancing the exchange's current product offerings and bringing new options products to market.


Before joining Nasdaq, Black spent much of his career serving in many facets of the inter dealer broker industry. In 2005, he began his career on Tradition’s US Single Stock Equity Derivatives desk. During his time at Tradition, he was involved in delta hedged trade reconciliation and execution trading and served as a desk liaison to the compliance, technology and billing teams. He then joined BGC Partners, where he was a member of the team that started a new listed Equity Derivatives Desk, which later merged with a group from Mint Partners. During his time at Tradition and BGC, Black was instrumental in implementing operational standards and streamlining execution processes.


Black holds a BS in Finance from Fairfield University.
