In 2004, the Casablanca Stock Exchange changed the method for calculating their indexes, based on the idea of [[floating]], to better match the stock position of a company and their position in the index. The MASI is one of two main indexes at the exchange, the other is the [[Moroccan Most Active Shares Index]] ([[MADEX]]).
