Peter Best is a financial services executive who was most recently the chief operating officer of ICAP SEF, ICAP's swap execution facility, as well as COO of ICAP global derivatives and a member of the broker’s group operating committee, global broking executive group and its global broking operations group. He left the company in December of 2015.
He was also a non-executive director of the Wholesale Market Brokers' Association.
Best joined Garban-Intercapital as an interest rate swaps broker in 1994, before that firm became ICAP in 2001. He spent almost twenty years with ICAP in a number of roles including the broker’s group head of market development. He also worked at NYSE Euronext for three years as head of product development in fixed income before returning to ICAP in 2011.
He was educated at King's College London, U. of London and Freie Universität Berlin.
