Ronald Jordan was named to the newly created position of chief data officer at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) on February 2, 2011. Jordan will focus on the needs of the U.S. Treasury Department's new Office of Financial Research, created under the Dodd Frank Act. He is also responsible for guiding DTCC's strategy on its commercial and regulatory data business activities. He will report to Andrew Gray, managing director, Core Product Strategy and Management.[1] [2]


Before joining DTCC, Jordan spent 26 years at NYSE Euronext, where he was most recently executive vice president, Global Market Data Administration, managing a division of more than 50 people in five countries. His responsibilities included global market data administration for the NYSE, Arca, Amex, Euronext, NYSE Liffe and NYSE Liffe U.S. markets.

Before working at NYSE Euronext, he held positions at the American Stock Exchange and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.

He has held leadership roles on the executive boards of the Financial Information Services Division of the Securities & Industry Information Association (SIIA) and the Financial Information Forum, and was an administrator of the Consolidated Tape Association.
