William (Bill) Bailey is a Chicago-based trader and financial markets professional who currently works for Nasdaq as a trading analyst specializing in equities and debt. He provides daily trading and shareholder intel to publicly traded companies regarding their stocks and/or corporate bonds. He is an affiliate member of the Chartered Market Technician Association.

Background[edit]

Shortly after college, he began his career as a trader at the Chicago Board of Trade.

In 2011 he was hired by HTG Capital Partners, LLC to help build out a scalping strategy in CME foreign exchange futures which eventually scaled into U.S. Treasury, equity, and commodity futures. As head trader, he oversaw the expansion of trading to include various HFT strategies, Inter-market spreading, and long/short momentum portfolios.

Following his tenure at HTG Capital Partners, LLC, Bailey co-created a trading group under Shepard International Inc. responsible for various trading strategies across multiple asset classes.

Education[edit]

Bailey finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and studied at The University of Waikato for Machine Learning in Big Data.
