Heike Eckert
Background[edit]Eckert has more than 25 years of experience at Deutsche Börse. She was head of clearing business development at Eurex Clearing from May 2010 to April 2013 where she was responsible for the development of new clearing services for derivatives, securities and repo products. Since joining Deutsche Börse's DTB in June 1995, Eckert has held a number of leadership and project management positions at Deutsche Börse and Eurex. From January 2007 until September 2009 she was responsible for the management of Eurex’s business in the U.S. Eckert was the chief operating officer of Eurex Clearing AG, having been a member of its executive board since April 2013.[2] She also serves on the supervisory boards of the European Energy Exchange AG, a 75%-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, and its clearinghouse, European Commodity Clearing AG. She was elected chairperson of the clearinghouse board on April 17, 2019.[3] Education[edit]Eckert holds a degree in Economics from Christian Albrecht Universität in Kiel with a major in Econometrics and also attended the Université de Sciences Sociales Toulouse and the Universität Passau for Business Administration.
